The Assembly, ABC’s ground-breaking documentary series, is back!

Do you like talking to interesting people? 

 
We are offering autistic people with an interest in journalism the opportunity to take part in a specially designed introductory journalism program taught by Macquarie University and supported by Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) and Bus Stop Films. 
 
Successful applicants will be mentored by renowned journalist Leigh Sales and will take part in interviews with high profile Australians.  
    
It doesn’t matter what experience you have.

Guidelines & Eligibility Requirements
 
Applicants must be aged 18 years or over and be available for filming between 7 April and 6 June in Sydney.
 
Participants will need to be available for approximately 4 hours per day for 3 to 4 days a week during 7 April – 6 June 2025. 

 

Assistance will be provided for travel to filming location.  For applicants who are selected to participate in the Program, there will be payment for the time worked during the filming period of the Program.
